Event details

Padma Musical Series opened its 2025 season with a special evening dedicated to the timeless world of opera through “Love and Misadventure”, an immersive concert experience celebrating some of the genre’s most beloved arias and ensembles.

Set within the intimate atmosphere of the Plumeria Ballroom at Padma Resort Legian, the performance brought together a distinguished ensemble of Indonesian classical musicians and vocalists for an evening exploring themes of romance, longing, passion, betrayal, and redemption through the rich storytelling tradition of opera.

The concert featured internationally and nationally acclaimed performers including Heny Janawati, Jeremiah Purwoto, Ardelia Padma Sawitri, and Kadek Ari Ananda Putra, accompanied by acclaimed violinist Giovani Biga and pianist, arranger, and curator Daniel Adipradhana, whose artistic direction shaped the emotional and musical arc of the evening.

Designed as both a musical performance and a cultural experience, the concert guided audiences through iconic moments from the operatic repertoire, balancing technical virtuosity with emotional intimacy. From Mozart and Handel to Bizet, Wagner, and Verdi, the evening unfolded as a dramatic journey through some of opera’s most enduring works.
